Tanzania safaris

Four ways to see
the north

Every Wildblick safari runs on the same principles — small vehicles, senior guides and a day in reserve. What changes is where you sleep, how you move and how much of the world you want to yourselves.

How we build a safari

Choose the style. We shape the route around you.

Nothing on this page is fixed. Each style below is a starting point — a way of describing the level of comfort, privacy and pace you want. Once we know that, we choose the parks, the season and the camps with you, and build the days around what you most want to see.

All four styles share a private vehicle, a guide who stays with you from arrival to departure, and one planner in Arusha who answers your questions from first call to last transfer.

Questions

Before you ask

When is the best time for a Tanzania safari?

There is no bad month, only different ones. June to October is dry, with easy game viewing and the northern Serengeti river crossings from roughly July. January to March brings calving in the southern Serengeti. April and May are the long rains — quieter, greener and better value, though some camps close.

Is a private vehicle included in every style?

Yes. Every safari we plan — including midrange — uses a private 4×4 with a pop-up roof and a guide who stays with you throughout. Small-group departures share a vehicle with no more than six travellers.

How far ahead should we book?

For July to October and the Christmas period, nine to twelve months gives the best choice of camps. Outside those windows, three to six months is usually enough. Shorter notice is often possible — ask us.

Can we combine safari with Kilimanjaro or Zanzibar?

Yes, and most of our travellers do one or the other. A climb works best before the safari; the beach works best after it. See our Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar pages.
